thesmileman, would you be willing to beta-test this for me?

AlexP

Alex,

Sorry for agreeing to beta test the driver then going off the grid. My kinect an laptop decided to “fall” to the bottom of the ocean.

A word of advice. If you finally take your wife on vacation for 3 weeks in Hawaii and it is the first vacation you have had together in 7 years be careful what you bring on the trip. Especially do not let her find out you brought your kinect and your laptop and planned to do work while on the trip. You might find that your laptop and kinect “randomly” decided to jump to their death as mine did.

I am looking into this issue, although I cannot replicate it on my Win7 x64 and x86 systems. I will post the update as soon as this is fixed. What kind of CPUs are you using (i7, Core 2 Duo…)?

HI Alex, exact same issue with my kinect crashing on stopCamera.

My specs are:

Athlon Phenom X2 965 @ 3.6ghz
4GB Corsair DDR1600RAM
Asus P5N motherboard
Nividia Geforce GTX 275
Windows 7 64 bit OS also.

any way to get a core dump through c# lib’s to give you crash information?

THanks!

Bryan

p.s. Alex, posted before I saw 1121, but tried that build too and had the same issue.

Let me know if you need anything else, I’m willing to help test this.

Is it true that his only happens in x86 Windows builds?
Could anyone confirm this?

NOTE: Please test this only if the previous version of the driver was causing crashes when calling StopNUICamera function.

Thanks

True for me on 3 diff PC with Fresh install on WIN7 x86 OS and with no other USB device plugged-in - please see my other post related to this issue (URL below). THX
