When I try to capture video in VirtualDub, I get a black screen for the preview and an error message when I try to capture: “Can’t start video capture”

The CL-Eye driver test shows the camera’s preview with no problems, but the video capture portion of the test program is very buggy. The file it creates skips around when I open it in VirtualDub.

You may want to try and re-install the driver however we did add support for Virtual Dub and out test users gave positive feedback. As for the skipping of the video this depends on your capture settings/how virtual dub loads AVI files.

Reinstalling has no effect. (I ran the uninstaller, then the installer again). I cannot capture video from within VirtualDub 1.9.9.
I’m using the latest version of the driver.

I can capture video with the CL-Driver Test program, but no matter what settings I use, I get a very slow frame rate. The preview seems to update every 2-4 secs, and the resulting AVI file is only a little bit faster.

In virtualdub and other programs I’m not able to use the video capture filter to
change contrast/gamma/WB settings, they are non-changeable. (only changeable in CL-Eye Test)
and the video capture pin has only 320*240 and 640*480 @ 15 and 30fps.
Where are the high speed fps settings and other settings? That the reason i bought this ps3eye.

Is this a VFW driver limit or so?

I would use the PS3 Eye at 640*480@60fps but i have only 30 fps MAX when i wan’t change the “capture pin” with virtual dub but with CL-Eye Test i have add the cleye.config and i have 640*480@60fps. Please help me, i have buy it just for it!
