I built an optical tracker based on active IR markers. I am using a PS3-Eye Camera with the IR-filter removed and a Raynox QC-303 27-37mm, 0.3x Semi Fisheye Snap-On Lens.

Obviously, the lens doesn’t strap right to the plastic casing. Instead, I glued a short piece of plastic pipe that holds the lens in front of the camera. The piece of pipe I use is just over 2 cm long and has a diameter of 4.5 cm. I turn the zoom of the camera to red (close) to get a modestly sharp image.

I am reporting this because it is very cheap and not too difficult to set up.
