what are activation credits and how do i get them .the device manager says i don’t have enough activation credits

You can click the Add Credits button on the bottom right of the device manager, I’ve added an image to highlight:

OK. But What are Activation Credits?

Credits are used for camera activation. Are you using the SDK? Are you a developer?

I downloaded and installed and Ran Device Manager, and it wants to active and Add credits, i am neither a developer or using SDK, I JUST built a Win 7 X64 system and wanted to see if it would work like it did on Win 7 x32.

Do i have to buy something to make it usable"activate” with Skype or MSN. I believe i contributed a long time ago when you first
came out with the driver. Thanks.. J P Morgan

The driver works fine for the purposes you need. There is no need for activation in your case.
The camera activation is needed if you want to use two or more cameras in your own projects.

Hello, i have downloaded the Free software for the EYEcamera. I have a file in zip that allows me to test the camera but not actually use it for the skype/msn messanger. i go in messanger and it doesnt even show a place to connect a camera, PLEASE REPLY!

What version of skype are you using?

is the same for me i have installed it and works fine with the test but skype, yahoo and live messenger say no camera installed
i really would like to get it to work especially with skype thank you in advance for any help
