Skype camera feed box duplication problem on 4.0.1.127

I’m not sure how to explain this problem, but I updated to the newest version of the driver to 4.0.1.127. The CL-Eye Test app shows the camera feed properly. Skype 4.1 does not. It shows up as a black box with 2 small camera feed boxes at the bottom. Is there a way to fix this or is it a bug in the new driver?

Attached is a picture of what the camera displays on Skype.

I’m running Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit and the latest version of Skype (4.1).

I am also having the same problem.

I was initially using Skype 4.2 (Beta) with Windows 7.
Video would appear fine, until a call was made - then it would freeze, and stay frozen until I restarted the video. Video would only last a fraction of a second and then freeze again.

Video is working fine on Cameroid, and with the Cl-Eye test software.

Figuring it might be the Skype Beta, I uninstalled it and installed 4.0.1.179, and am getting the same issue as the poster above.

Help?

I was having the same issue with the camera freezing as well every few seconds. I had to continuously restart the camera on Skype. It looks like once I update the driver it works but shows up like this now.

A couple of other things I should mention.

When using Skype 4.2 (Beta):
-The video would also show up, and appear normal - until entering a chat when it would then freeze. The audio would remain fine.
-Disabling the audio driver in Device Manager would fix the freezing video problem. Except, then I have no mic - but the video would remain on and consistent in a chat.

When using Skype 4.0.1.179:
-The video is always in that odd squished double box at the bottom. Audio is fine.
-Disabling the audio driver in Device Manager does not fix the strange double box.

I am using Windows 7 (64).

Is there an older version of the PS3 Eye driver I should download that may fix this problem?

Having the exact same issue with Skyp, also having an issue with MSN that someone else posted about.  Would love to know how to fix it as I bought the Ps3 eye to use as a webcam for MSN and Skype

I have the same problem as @aholodak, my friends see me twice. May be some older versions of drivers can help(tried 4.0.1.0127, not luck).

Skype: latest stable 4.1.0.179.
Drivers: latest Version: 4.0.1.0129

The latest driver (just released) addresses these Skype issues.
Download it here: http://codelaboratories.com/get/cl-eye-driver/

Actually I sent my previous message too fast. Video now works perfectly, but there is no sound anymore. I’d prefer vice versa, as it was before smile

Also, during “Test call” to skype lady’s voice breaks sometimes and I’m missing parts of words. Yesterday I did not have anything like this.

People, does anyone else have this problem with sound?

Funny thing, I just plugged out and in my PS Eye and everything works now with the same call quality as in Linux with built-in drivers. It’s amazing, thank you!
