When I am installing the driver i get the following message at this juncture “Downloading WinUSBCoInstaller2.dll” - timed out connecting.

Can you please help. I am on windows vista, 32 bit, 2.0 Ghz, 2 Gig Ram

if your getting this problem on windows cista try rightclick run as administrator i had this issue than right clicked run as admin and the download process went fine

similar problem here, win 7 ultimate x64:  download times-out at the same file. no proxy, running as administrator. still no go.

The administrator solution did not work for me either. I think the reason the download does not work for me is because I am in South Africa.

news update!

don’t know what is the application you intend for the ps3 eye but if it is to run CCV1.3 for multi-touch detection then i have your solution.
still haven’t been able to make it work with MSN, or Skype.. but, we are getting somewhere.

i got the missing file, the infamous WinUSBCoInstaller2.dll from a fellow forum member..

don’t know if it would work for you since the driver was from an intel pc with win7 x64 (just like mine),

I think you need to get one according to your system characteristics.
let me know if you want to try out the files i got.

Finally got it working on all apps.
apparently i needed the direct show .ax file. got it from an older version. registered it using command prompt.

it’s not a solution to the problem of downloading
but it is a way of making the camera work, and that being the main motive for downloading it.. one could call it an “alternative solution”.

So Dini, if you want any help to make it work, let me know.

Hi there everybody, I noticed that a lot of you ppl have problems with downloading the dll file from the installer..
well, I was facing the same problem..
I tired everything but no way of get it done UNTIL NOW

[ SOLVED ] : the problem is mainly an internet proxy thing as I noticed, So all you have to do is this :
1) find a proxy changer program.
2) run it so it will give you a new proxy and IP address.
3) run the installer…
and it should work like charm…
it did for me, hope the same to you guys
