If you don’t know what Freetrack is, it’s a head tracking device for video games using a web cam and light. Freetrack works perfectly at the 320x240 resolution at any frame rate in Freetrack. Sadly though the 640x480 resolution is bugged and only tracks the lights at the bottom of the screen.

It seems that FreeTrack resets the camera sensor settings. To fix this, start the capture in the FreeTrack and then go to camera settings and adjust camera gain, exposure and white balance. You should set both gain and exposure to manual with exposure set to maximum and gain set depending on your light conditions. It is recommended to set white balance to auto mode. Remember higher gain values will result in the noisier video signal.

Daytrader to make it work you MUST set resolution to 320x240. Any frames per second will work.
