Just installed PS3 eye as quality IR sensor for FreeTrack!!! Awesome! Accurate and smooth tracking at 100 fps I’ve never reached with any other cam.
Thanks Alex!!!

But one issue remains -  microfone noise. When trying to use built in mic I have really strong noise, when my own voice is quite weak.

What should I do to make it work?

WinXP SP3, Intel Core 2 Duo 2,66GHz

I’ve reinstalled driver.  This time no microphone activity at all!
BTW, I cant see a sound device of PS3 camera in Device Manager as shown at http://alexpopovich.wordpress.com/page/2/  (See picture below).  In my case there is no such a sound device.

Hm… Latest Drivers… What it should be???

Mabby I’m not alone with this problem? Say pls if you have working microphone in WinXP, Win7

I have solved a problem. Incorrect driver installation under WinXP: DeviceMatchingID named as class_01 is wrong

Fixing procedure:
1) Search register values for string “usb\class_01” (without quotes). It will be found somewhere in HKLM\System\ControlSet001\Control\Class\....\.... node
in a key named MatchingDeviceId
2) change string value of this key from

usb\class_01 to usb\Vid_1415&Pid;_2000&MI;_01

( without damn ‘;’ characters. They autoinserted here at forum!!!)
3) unplug then plug again USB connector of a camera.  Now microphone should work flawlessly

Probably it may help othes
