I have a CPU resource issue with NUICamera driver. When testing the Kinect with CL_NUIDeviceTest app, the CPU usage goes from about 10% (nothing running) to 90% / 100% which then caused my mutli-touch app to cease as no CPU resources is available.
I have installed & tested this CL_NUIDeviceTest app on 3 different PC (2 Intellistations & 1 Thinkcentre) with fresh install of WIN7 32bit giving same result. I have search the forum / Web & I did not find similar issue.
Tried / tested with two NUI platform installation below, with same result:
CL-NUI-Platform-1.0.0.1121.exe And CL-NUI-Platform-1.0.0.1210.exe
What could be the cause of this behaviour? is there a way to reduce CPU’s usage of the NUICamera driver?
PC spec:
1) Intellistation Z Pro - win7 32bit - 4MB RAM
full spec in link below
http://www-947.ibm.com/support/entry/portal/docdisplay?brand=5000004&lndocid=MIGR-58662
2) The ThinkCentre is similar processor & RAM spec but smaller machine.
(other details: behaviour noticed on all machines -> if/when restarting system if kinect is connected machine will hang at DOS prompt)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
