I have the same issues with MSN.  Webcam image appears but freezes after a couple frames.  Vista 32 Bit.

Zoart: this might be the issue with Skype on your machine. Have you tried running cameroid.com? Does that run ok on your system?
As for MSN, I’m looking into it as we speak. And we’ll release fix asap.

The latest driver (just released) addresses the MSN issues.
Download it here: http://codelaboratories.com/get/cl-eye-driver/

Hi AlexP

I’ve just tested the newly released driver but stills having the same issues as the one that just works with skype, I think windows is trying to use the highest framerate available for msn and the camera looses sync, then the video stays frozen…
(Thanks for the update anyway)

Could you tell me what is the name of the MSN app you are using (the exe name in the task manager). Is it msnmsgr.exe?

Does the test app freeze on your computer (640x480 @ 30fps)?

The latest driver clamps the frame rate for msn to only, 30fps so if the test app runs fine on your machine msn should run fine.

I’m guessing that you locked down the skype frame rate a couple releases back, too? It’s good because I was having random freezes and whatnot. However, it does seem slower than 30fps now, feels more like 15.

Both 15 and 30fps (in both resolutions) are available for Skype to use, so it will chose the rate that fits the best.

Hey, I’m having MSN trouble too. I turn it on, the CL-eye Test app works perfectly. Except when I turn it on for MSN, it just stays at a black screen, I haven’t changed anything, so what went wrong?

*Update*: It fixed it self, yay.
