Forgive my ignorance. We are doing some R&D with a PS3 Eye and are wondering what it takes to support the hardware in our application. Mostly, we’re wondering if our customers will always have to download the driver or if we can support the hardware natively, somehow?
We installed the driver and can use the camera like a webcam through our application, but it runs slower than a normal webcam does. We’re assuming it’s the driver. Is there a way to skip over the driver?
Do we always have to get the driver installed first or is there a direct-to-the-hardware solution? Is that what the SDK is for?
