I’ve been using this player for recording video from PS eye camera for a while. It works perfectly fine.
Currently, I’m using MPC-HC 1.6.3.5565, but I even don’t remember the first version I tried CL Eye driver with. It’s been about a year ago or so.

All you need to do is go to:
View -> Options (hotkey O) -> Capture
then set:
Default device: analog,
and in Analog Settings specify all 3 dropdowns.

Tested under Windows 7 64 bit and Windows XP Pro sp3.

File -> Open Device to show video from camera (hotkey Ctrl+V)
View -> Capture to show capture panel, allowing to set frame rate, resolution and codec (Hotkey Ctrl+8)
And Right mouse click on screen -> Filters -> select PS Eye to edit exposure/gain/color balance.
